Steps of a Globe Repainting
When a lamp base is sent to Victorian Lamp Restorations for a repaint globe, the below steps are followed:
Step 1: Lamp base arrives from customer.
Step 2: Pattern is painted on: flowers, scene, etc. If a transfer is on the original base, this is replicated by hand.
Step 3: Fire lamp globe. This is done as many times as necessary to make the pattern/colors look the same as the antique.
Step 4: Background color is painted. Again fired and painted multiple times to get colors.
Step 5: Lamp is complete! Lamp is shipped back to customer.
